Founded in 1996 as Constructech Inc., our company began as a family side business while careers progressed in the industry. In 2023, Kevin, Nolan, and their father Pat realized a long-time dream — leaving their respective employers to launch the company’s next era as Shaffer Building Company.
Our foundation, principles, and experience are derived from personally held values and decades of hands-on construction work since the early 1980s. What we have found is that timeless principles — integrity, diligence, respect & humility — paired with technical aptitude set us apart.

The construction industry has a problem: companies staffed with managers who've never picked up a tool. They react to problems instead of preventing them. Our team started as carpenters, elevator mechanics, and superintendents — we've been building since the early 1980s.
That applied experience means we plan construction to minimize problems before they start. We define scope beyond what's on the drawings, price the full reality of a project, and take responsibility from day one. No change order games. No surprises.
